This happens because some android manufacturers prefer extra battery life over the proper functionality of your apps.
You can fix this by following the instructions for your device manufacturer at https://dontkillmyapp.comQ.
The pronunciation features is not working for me, what should I do?A.
Pronunciation is provided using "Speech Services by Google", you can fix this by installing/updating to the latest version of the same by searching for it on the play store.

Range of words is good and UI is aesthetically simplistic making it a joy to use. Weekly quizzes are a great addition, however again they will not work unless widget is running.
